Afoyo African Safaris was founded by a young and energetic retired Safari Guide who dedicated years of his life to protecting wildlife in Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda’s most iconic conservation areas. During his time in the southern sector of the park, he witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of poaching and the challenges faced by local communities living near protected areas. Driven by passion and purpose, he founded Afoyo African Safaris to create a bridge between responsible tourism and wildlife conservation. His vision was simple to offer travellers unforgettable safaris while ensuring that local communities also benefit from tourism. Today, part of every trip booked with Afoyo African Safaris directly supports the Mubaku Community Project, an initiative that empowers families through education, cultural tourism, and wildlife protection.
